July 23, 2008 Yellowknife Dump

Day Timers....

More Day timers

And more day timers.

And yet more....

There must have been 5,000 day timers at the dump. Six months into the year and their worth is $0.

Self help anyone?

Another antique?

Another antique.

Election signs.

The dump man. He was cool with his pic being on the blog. He makes his living at the dump. Good money he says.
Softballs

Box of softballs

Lamps with shades

Cardboard

Beautiful, clean sweater. Was tempted to take it home.

Winter coat and sleeping bag.

Food? Canned Food.

Seagulls can't eat this stuff.

Looking at some of these things I just think really... The books you can give them away or trade with people for new books sell some of these things in a yard sale, give the stuffed animals and kid toys to the shelters around town. This kind of disgust me that people wouldnt try to give more away before just taking it to the dump to fill up more space at our landfill.
